Q.Please tell me the differences between regular inspection and JCSS calibration of balances.

A : With each of these inspections, weights having traceability to national standards are used to inspect repeatability, eccentric error (corner load error), linearity, and other items. Regular inspection involves merely recording measured values at respective measurement points. In JCSS calibration, however, "uncertainty," or the value for expressing how reliable each respective measured value is, is also listed. "Uncertainty" must be calculated to ensure strict measurement traceability.
