Nexera comprises a family of high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) systems that set a new benchmark of industry standards thanks to the combination of advances in AI and IoT technology. Shimadzu has pioneered advancements in HPLC systems for decades, and the Nexera series is particularly valuable in the realm of analytical chemistry, not only for its versatility. Representing industry-defining innovation and the incorporation of AI, these instruments can detect and resolve issues automatically and offer valuable data analysis capabilities. Through the addition of IoT and device networking, lab management has been streamlined so all analysts can grasp the status of instruments and optimize resource allocation. Flow Pilot technology allows for instrument startup by controlling the flow rate according to the column temperature, extending column life. Furthermore, Shimadzu’s Nexflow technology* minimizes extra-column dispersion without changing the inner diameter or length of the piping in the ultra high-performance liquid chromatography (UHPLC) system. For all of these reasons, the Nexera series is widely used across various industries and applications.

Nexera X3
This is Shimadzu’s flagship UHPLC model, compatible with low-pressure gradients and mobile phase blending. This high-pressure gradient model minimizes gradient delay volume and is ideal for very high sample numbers.
Nexera XS
A highly flexible UHPLC model compatible with both high and low gradients, this model significantly reduces analysis time. It also prioritizes efficient analysis of a large number of samples with the use of plate-changers.
Nexera XS inert
Achieving a 105 MPa pressure capacity while inhibiting adsorption to metals with PEEK or ceramic materials in flow channels, the Nexera XS inert is a powerful tool of analytical chemistry. This instrument also offers excellent resistance to corrosion and a broad range of pH levels.
Nexera XR
Compatible with a wide range of analysis conditions, this UHPLC-like model is the new standard for the Shimadzu LC series.
Nexera lite
This is a conventional HPLC model with excellent basic functions and many options for expansion. Able to be adapted for all application systems, the cutting-edge AI functions of these instruments increase the reliability of established analysis workflows.
Nexera lite inert
Ideal for addressing metal-adsorption challenges that compromise quantitative accuracy, sensitivity, or separation and mobile phases that cause system durability problems, this instrument also improves the data quality of protein analysis in biological samples.
