Data on Tap Water Quality Standards

The water quality standard based on Ordinance 4 of Japan's Water Supply Act is provided by the "Ministerial Ordinance Concerning Water Quality Standards" (Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare Ordinance No. 101, May 30, 2003 [Final revision, Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare Ordinance 18, February 17, 2010]). Tap water must pass all water quality standards. As a consequence, companies and other entities whose business is to supply water must have their tap water inspected in accordance with the Water Supply Act.
