Introduction of Quest Single-Reflection ATR Accessary

The ATR (Attenuated Total Reflectance) method is a technique that is widely used for verification testing and contaminant analysis. Here, we introduce the Quest, a new, high-sensitivity single reflection ATR accessory. We conducted analysis of L-alanine and L-arginine, amino acids that require verification testing conforming with the Japanese Pharmacopoeia (JP), European Pharmacopoeia (EP), and United States Pharmacopeia (USP).
Here, we also acquired ATR spectra in the far-infrared region. The measured samples consisted of anhydrous caffeine powder and polyvinylidene chloride (PVDC) film.
