GPC-MALDI Analysis of Trace Components in Synthetic Polymers

Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption / Ionization Time-of-Flight massspectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS) is being employed in a growing number ofsynthetic polymer applications in recent years. Using this technique,monomer and terminal structures are predicted based on the masses ofthe observed polymer substance, molecular weight distribution isevaluated, and molecular structural analysis is conducted by MS/MSanalysis.
