High Performance Liquid Chromatograph (HPLC) is widely used for pharmaceutical industry, food and beverage industry, research and development, quality control, production process control, environmental analyses and clinical tests. Shimadzu LC-VP series modular concept enables flexible system configuration to meet analytical purposes. The followings are example of application dedicated systems.
Reducing Sugar Analysis System
Shimadzu's unique post-column fluorescence detection method (Japanese patent) with arginine as the reagent, is a highly sensitive and selective method for sugars. This system is suitable for the analysis of complex samples, like fermentation products, and for ultra trace analysis, such as determination of sugar components in glycoprotein.
Post-column fluorescence detection with OPA/N-acetylcysteine (Japanese patent), provides highly sensitive detection of amino acids such as proline.
This system with post-column fluorescence detection provides high sensitivity and high accuracy analysis.
Residual pesticides in agricultural products are analyzed by GC, GC/MS and HPLC. It is not desirable to introduce sample lipids and pigments into analytical instruments. This pretreatment system removes such impurities in samples using GPC columns.
GPC system
This system measures polymer molecular weight with high accuracy. Using high precision solvent delivery system and software with various correction functions, this system enhances reliability in quality measurement in synthetic polymers.
Shimadzu's unique separation methods enables analysis of cyanogen chloride, thiocyanate and cyanide in a single sample in just 7 minutes.
Post-column reaction with PAR reagent combined with a spectrophotometric detection permits highly and sensitive analysis of transition metal ions. This system can be upgraded for the analysis of rare-earth metal ions.
