The LCMS-2010EV has a highly-reliable MS detector having Shimadzu's unique Q-array ion optical system (*) using Optdesign (design and analysis software for optics and charged particles) created by Shimadzu's Technology Research Laboratory. This Q-array ion optical system achieves significant improvement of ion convergence and mass resolution capability.

Angle Spray (*) is designed to be an orthogonal alignment of the ionization probe and the Curved Desolvation Line (CDL).
Drying gas creates an even finer spray mist to dry the droplets and promote sample ionization. It also acts to restrict the generation of adduct ions from the solvent.
This combination of unique technologies achieves high sensitivity and excellent robustness.

The LCMS-2010EV’s interface design offers smooth ionization even of low-polarity samples that are hard to be ionized such as bisphenol-A and that enables highly sensitive analysis.
The LCMS-2010EV’s robust interface contributes to superior mass axis stability (+/-0.1amu/12h) and that enables to increase data reliability.
