This company, Shonan Shimadzu, was originally established as Chizaki Denki Seizosho (Chizaki Electric Manufacturing) in 1951 to manufacture and sell fish detectors and other types of measurement instruments. After forming an alliance with Shimadzu Corporation and becoming a Shimadzu affiliate, we are continuing our commitment to technology and responding quickly to customer requirements in every area of our activities, from the design of analytical and measuring instruments to manufacturing. Additionally, Shonan Shimadzu is now also responsible for Shimadzu Corporation dynamic balancing machines. (Service is still provided by Shimadzu's testing machine business unit)
Furthermore, we are committed to revamping our production methods. For example,
led by a group of our younger employees, we have embarked on a variety of production
improvement measures and are now implementing small-lot multi-item flexible manufacturing.
During this rapid change period, we are using the motto "Solve problems with
our minds, not money" to encourage all our employees to improve the quality of
our manufacturing using intelligence and innovation. This is the primary goal
of Shonan Shimadzu, and only by achieving it can we become a supplier of highly
reliable products.
