Analysis of Transformer Oil

Gases generated from transformer oil indicate the conditions of the transformer oil. It is necessary for power plant facility administrators to measure transformer oil gas. Shown here is an example of analysis according to ASTM D 3612 Method B (sampling: oil stripper)

Channel 1: TCD

Channel 2: FID

System GC

Conventional gas chromatographs require skilled operatorsto ensure precise analysis. By utilizing valve actuation to switch flow lines, system GCs provide key advantages over conventional systems for operators, such as automatic sampling, more precise analysis, and analytical time savings.
