Specific Surface Area/Pore Distribution of Desiccant

Desiccants and deodorizers are used in food packaging and storage containers to ensure stable quality.
The absorption performance of these desiccating substances is greatly related to their surface area and pore distribution. The AutoPore IV 9500 series Automated Mercury Porosimeter, which characterizes a material’s porosity by applying various levels of pressure to a sample immersed in mercury, a technique referred to as the mercury intrusion method, is capable of measuring and determining a broader pore size distribution.
