Analysis of Residual Pesticides in Crude Drugs – GCMS

Crude Drugs

NCI-GC/MS Analysis of Targeted Pesticides in Crude Drugs (Red Ginseng)

Total BHC (α ,β,γ and δ-BHC) and total DDT (DDT, DDE, and DDD) are items included in purity tests of crude drugs. Since these are chlorine pesticides, GC-ECD is adopted as the measurement method. With the negative chemical ionization method (NCI-GC/MS), high sensitivity and selectivity can be obtained with respect to electron-affinic compounds, just as with ECD.
We analyzed targeted pesticides in a crude drug (red ginseng) using the NCI-GC/MS method.

Gas Chromatograph Mass Spectrometer

This instrument is widely used for the qualitative and quantitative analysis of chemical substances. The column and ionization method are selected to suit the analysis target. A continuous atmosphere sampler can be used to obtain highly accurate analysis results.
