Statistical Analysis
Statistical analysis allows extracting a unique distribution of molecules easily. An m/z image can be directly selected not only from a spectrum but also from statistical analysis.
PCA analysis

PCA organizes all detected peaks (m/z values) based on loading factor (weight coefficients assigned to individual peaks). When the peaks are arranged in an array, the MS images can form several patterns representing principal components. Therefore, PCA can be especially useful for finding ions that show specific localizations. This feature helps provide more multifaceted data analysis.

ROI analysis

ROI analysis helps investigate and compare substances in two specified regions of interest (regions A and B, in the example above) to determine which substances are increased or decreased in each region. By specifying smaller regions, such as in a high-resolution optical image, substances with characteristic distributions can be identified. For example, if the amount of a given molecule increases in a cancerous region, then that is treated as a candidate cancer biomarker.
HCA analysis

Hierarchical cluster analysis (HCA) creates clusters (groups) consisting of similar substances from the mixture of different characteristic molecules, classifies target substances, and analyzes them based on their distribution information. Even in cases where target substances are determined previously, other substances of similar distribution can be discovered.
Simple comparison analysis functions
Comparisons and statistical analysis for each experiment
Data edition

Combine and normalize multiple data for comparative analysis Handles more than the prescribed number of sample points (Over 250 points on each side)
Compound search function (iMScope series only)
Identifying molecules

Compounds can be screened prior to MS/MS analysis.
Screening can identify peaks from a matrix and confirm whether or not corresponding information is registered in a library.
Identification of molecules.
Accuracy of identification can be improved by subtracting the spectra from different regions of interest (ROI).
MS/MS libraries for searches can also be added or deleted.
Available in compatible format
Analyzing and rendering data from MALDI-7090 and AXIMA

The software supports imzML and Analyze formats. Files are converted to imd format for use. Data either from the MALDI-7090 and AXIMA series or from optical images can be loaded.
