X-Ray Fluorescence Analysis of Light Elements in Liquid Samples – EDX-8100 and Helium Purge Unit –

The new Shimadzu EDX-8100 configured with the optional helium purge unit enables detection of fluorine in liquid samples for the first time, and also enhances sensitivity for sodium and magnesium. Analytical performance for these elements was evaluated by calculating the detection limit. In addition to solutions, helium purging is also an effective analytical technique for samples that cannot be depressurized to a vacuum state.
