Evolved Gas Analysis by TG-FTIR

In TG-FTIR, mass changes such as sampledecomposition and vaporization due to changes intemperature are measured quantitatively by the TG,while at the same time, spectral analysis of theevolved gases by FTIR can be conducted forqualitative analysis. This analytical system can be applied to a wide range of analyses, such asqualitative analysis of fragrances, trace analysis of additives, compositional analysis, unreactedsubstance analysis, and analysis of pyrolysismechanisms, to name a few. Here we introduce examples of calcium oxalate andpolyethylene terephthalate (PET) analysis.
