An Examination of the Effects of High/Low Column Cooling Rates Using Nexis™ GC-2030

Gas chromatography requires the cooling of the column down to the initial temperature after analysis. Until now, priority was placed on fast cooling to shorten analysis times. However, the Nexis GC-2030 is newly equipped with a function that allows operators to freely select a column cooling rate.
This article introduces the changes in the resolution of a column depending on the cooling rate that is used.
