Ginger is not only used as a spice, but has also beenused in traditional Chinese herbal medicine sinceancient times. Investigation into the efficacy of gingerhas been attracting a lot of attention in recent years,and the use of ginger in health foods has seen greatincreases.Here we introduce an example of the analysis of6-gingerol and 6-shogaol, constituents of ginger, usingthe Prominence UFLC ultra fast LC system with theSPD-M20A photodiode array detector.
