Rapid simultaneous assay of 23 mycotoxines in a variety of food samples by UHPLC-MS/MS using fast polarity switching

All studied mycotoxins were assayed in various samples: wheat, rice, maize, nuts, almonds, etc.. Matrix effect was very different from sample to sample. Classic extraction method involves QUECHERs methodology with a few modifications. However, this sample preparation generates relatively dirty extracts. Modifications of the sample preparation were made to reduce matrix effect and to generate high sensitivity of the assay. Therefore, calibration curve were prepared in solvent to quantify many different samples in the same analytical run. Mobile phase selection was also critical to give high sensitivity.
