Determination of the Derivatives of Nitrofuran Metabolites in Marine Products by Ultra High Performance Liquid Chromatography / Triple Quadrupole Mass Spectrometry

A liquid chromatography/electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry (LC/ESI-MS/MS) method was developed to identify and quantify trace levels of four derivatives of nitrofuran metabolites (AMOZ, AOZ, SEM, AHD) in fish. The calibration curves of those compounds were established and the correlation coefficients were better than 0.9994. The LODs were between 0.3 and 0.4 μg/kg.
