Analysis of Bromate in Tap Water Using a Triple Quadrupole LC/MS/MS (1)

Ion chromatography post-column absorption spectroscopy is officially notified for the method for the measurement of bromate in drinking water. In December, 2016, new testing method (proposal) for bromate using a liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry was announced and opinions was gathered by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare of Japan (MHLW). In this application, Direct Injection Analysis of bromate is demonstrated using the proposed method with the enough sensitivity of 1 ppb as 1/10 of the quality control criterion for drinking water.
