Analysis of Pesticides Added to Appendix Method 20-2 for the Complementary Items for Water Quality Management in Japan Using a Triple Quadrupole LC/MS/MS

On March 28, 2018, a notification issued by the Director of the Water Supply Division, MHLW in Japan stated partial revisions to inspection methods for the Complementary Items for water quality management in Japan's water quality standards. Accordingly, the applicable pesticides listed in Appendix Method 20-2, which describes simultaneous analysis using LCMS, was increased by 113 pesticides and now a total of 181 pesticides are listed. Of the added 113 pesticides, since the method is referential for 14 of the pesticides, this article introduces an example analysis of 99 of the pesticides in accordance with the analytical conditions specified by the method in the notification.
