Characterisation of a PEG Conjugated Medicine; Polymer Analysis Using the MALDI-8020 Benchtop Linear MALDI-TOF Mass Spectrometer
Polymers play important roles in various fields. Among analytical techniques for polymer analysis including SEC/GPC chromatography and NMR/FT-IR spectroscopy, MALDI mass spectrometry is a very popular technique.
This article introduces the analysis of vitamin E-TPGS (vitamin E tethered to PEG1000 succinate), which is used as a carrier molecule for the delivery of pharmaceutical agents, using the MALDI-8020 benchtop linear MALDI-TOF mass spectrometer and PolymerixTM polymer analysis software.
