Observation of Automotive Computer Using inspeXio SMX-225CT FPD HR X-Ray CT System

The interior of automotive electronic controls units (ECU), also called "car computers", was observed and analyzed with a microfocus X-ray CT system. This article introduces examples that are applicable not only to failure analysis but also to production process and research and development, including analysis of the interior of electronic boards/electronic components and solder joints housed in cases.
