Evaluation of Amyloid-β Aggregation by RF-6000 Spectrofluorophotometer

Aggregation of amyloid-β can be evaluated from samples as small as 100 μL by using a spectrofluorophotometer. Simple monitoring of the amyloid-β aggregation process is possible by measuring the fluorescence intensity of Thioflavin T (ThT), a fluorescent dye used as a marker for amyloid aggregation, and the intensity of Rayleigh scattering, which is proportional to the turbidity of a solution, at regular time intervals.
