Viscosity Evaluation of Cellulose Nanofiber-Reinforced Composite

Cellulose nanofiber (CNF) is lightweight, weighing only 1/5 as much as steel, and displays high specific strength 5 times stronger than that of ferrous materials. Researches aimed at developing high strength, lightweight composite materials by adding CNF to resins are under way. However, even with CNF-added resins, injection molding is necessary for mass production, and it is essential to determine the optimum molding conditions. In this article, the fluidity of CNF-reinforced composite was evaluated by using a Shimadzu CFT-500EX.
