Observation of Lactic Acid Bacteria in Yoghurt

Lactic acid bacteria contained in commercial yoghurt was observed. Two types of lactic acid bacteria, bacilli (rod-shaped bacteria) and cocci (spherical bacteria), can be seen. The high image clarity makes it easy to estimate the number of each type of bacteria within the field of view.
