Shimadzu introduces new interventional lab system, Trinias series "unity edition", with 10 various models, which supports interventional treatment for whole body covering cardiac, neuro, abdominal, and peripheral regions by implementing cutting-edge image processing technology that fully communicates with multi functionality patient table to encourage low dose and more qualified device visualization.
Trinias "unity edition" has been designed to brush up both hardware and software, as seen in full range of new image processing technology which supports high complex interventions, and multi functionality patient table which supports flexible positioning by tilting function, and customizable touch panel console to support every intended usage. Background of the Development
Interventional lab system is X-ray imaging system which is used under interventional treatment to treat patients with angina or cardiac infarct by using cathether. Intervention, which is less invasive treatment compared to surgery operation, recently attracts more attention, and more rapid development has been seen with downsizing and device qualification, reduction of contrast media, and establishment of the treatment.
Such clinical trend generates an expectation to worldwide interventional lab systems to encourage both low dose and high image quality simultaneously, which is even capable to support various anatomical regions, and various treatment and diagnosis by using various devices. 1. Various Real-Time Image Processing Technology That Enhances the More Efficient Workflow and Supports the Better Patient Care.
Real-time artifact optimization software, "Flex-APS" becomes available, which automatically optimizes every pixel-by-pixel motions during DSA acquisition, where vessel image is abstracted by subtracting mask images of bones or organs from live image acquired by contrast imaging. Remarkable new application that becomes available besides these is, "SCORE Chase", which displays whole extremities by stitching acquired images taken out from single contrast imaging. It is expected to increase the safeness of treatment and saving study time by real time image processing technology.
2. Communication with Multi-Functionality Patient Table and Expansion of Product Line-up
Communication with multi-functionality patient table becomes available, which supports flexible table positioning by tilting function, and several commands such as switching function or selecting displayed image can be operated at table side touch panel console, which is customizable up to user’s preference.
