About WHX

WHX (World Health Expo) is a medical and healthcare exhibition that evolved from Arab Health, first held in Dubai in 1975. Following the event’s 50th anniversary in 2025, Arab Health was renamed as WHX. It attracts a large international audience, including more than 230,000 visitors, over 4,300 exhibitors, and participants from more than 180 countries. In addition to Dubai, the WHX series events are scheduled to be held in various locations, including Lagos (Nigeria), Miami (USA), Osaka, and Bangkok (Thailand).

Shimadzu Booth: Hands-on Experience of Real Systems

At the Shimadzu booth, we showcased our latest products and technologies under the theme of “providing visitors the opportunity to see the actual instruments and experience their ease-of-use and features firsthand.”

Particular attention was drawn to the MobileDaRt Evolution MX9 Premium Version, a mobile X-ray system launched in 2025. Building on the previous MobileDaRt Evolution MX8 Version, the new model features a second monitor and a 3D camera integrated into the X-ray tube unit. A key feature enables operators to display images and angles and adjust imaging conditions on the second monitor.

The demonstration of the automatic angle and distance measurement function using a 3D camera on an actual instrument received high praise from visitors. There were also many inquiries regarding operability in clinical settings, indicating a high level of interest.

At the Trinias series with SCORE Opera angiography system corner, a PC-based demonstration introduced the “SMART Voice” voice recognition feature.

SMART Voice enables the system to be operated via voice commands: the system can be controlled by simply speaking into a microphone to activate 21 functions frequently used during procedures. This allows procedures to be performed efficiently even when the operator’s hands are occupied with catheter manipulation or when they must keep their eyes on the imaging screen. The feature is invaluable, reducing the burden on physicians and healthcare professionals. Through such demonstrations, visitors were able to experience Shimadzu’s technological capabilities firsthand.

Comment from Booth Staff

We had many customers visit the Shimadzu booth right from the first day. In addition to attendees from the Middle East, visitors also came from Africa, Asia, Europe, and other regions, which underscores WHX’s appeal as an exhibition that attracts strong interest from a diversity of countries and regions. Moving forward, we aim to use this exhibition as a platform to further promote the appeal of Shimadzu products and technologies worldwide.
