Shimadzu Review 74[1・2] (2017.5)

Abstract

We have developed scattered radiation correction image processing software for the MobileDaRt Evolution MX7i.
The image processing software improves contrast by estimating and removing the scattered dose. In general, using a grid affects the workflow since the grid is heavy, requires very careful positioning, and is troublesome to clean. The software, however, enables the workflow to be improved. The results of image quality evaluation using a human body phantom, confirmed that important points on the human body structure could be clearly identified, showing that the software provides image quality that is sufficient for real clinical use.
