Abstract

Emission regulations in China for volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which are one of the causes of air pollution in recent years, are being enforced and strengthened. VOCs emitted by paint factories and printing plants are measured as non-methane hydrocarbons (NMHCs).
The NMHCs measurements are made by a GC-FID method, and the measurement data is transmitted online to the local authorities and collected.
In this paper, we introduce an online VOC monitor system that was developed to meet to the demand for the continuous monitoring of these compounds in China.
