Abstract

As quality control becomes more sophisticated, there is an increasing need to measure not only conventional metrics such as particle size distribution and particle number concentration but also particle shape to investigate the cause of product defects. A light-shielding particle counter is widely used for measuring the number concentration of fine particles in a liquid, and a dynamic image analyzer is used for measuring the particle shape. At present, concentration and shape are measured using separate instruments. The iSpect DIA-10 dynamic particle image analysis system is based on the dynamic image analysis and can simultaneously measure the number concentration and the particle shape of fine particles in a liquid.
