Shimadzu Review 78[1・2] (2021)

Abstract

Industrial furnaces used for debinding or sintering ceramics or cemented carbides can have issues with the furnace suddenly stop functioning due to deterioration of consumables, such as insulation material or electrodes. Consequently, there is significant need for preventive maintenance functionality. Therefore, preventive maintenance software was developed that predicts the deterioration status of heaters, insulation, and various parts based on changes in various sensor data, such as temperature and pressure inside the furnace, power usage, and the cooling water flowrate. This article describes that software.
