Abstract
LiDAR sensors used for automatic driving functionality detect their surroundings within a certain field-of-view angle. That means the LiDAR cover material must also maintain a high transmittance level within the given field of view. This article reports on a case study of using a SolidSpecTM-3700i spectrophotometer with a variable angle measuring unit to measure the transmittance through a virtual cover material.
