Shimadzu Review 80[1・2] (2023)

Abstract

General radiography systems perform the most basic and important tests, and because they cover a variety of areas, such as the chest, abdomen, and extremities, they also perform more tests per day. However, the X-ray tube support equipment weighs hundreds of kilograms, and it must be manually moved to match the position of the subject each time a test is performed, which is a huge burden for the operator. In order to improve the inspection environment in medical settings, we have developed a new product, the RADspeed Pro style edition GLIDE Class general radiography system, which uses power-assist technology to enable lighter and smoother operations.
