From Batteries to Quantum Sensing: Shimadzu Technology that Contributed to Industrial Development

Abstract
Throughout its 150 years of business, Shimadzu has evolved in step with industrial development and upheld a corporate philosophy of “Contributing to Society through Science and Technology.” This article reflects on Shimadzuʼs history of advancing industrial development by assimilating the latest scientific technologies and assuming a bold stance in tackling societal issues. This article also presents new technological developments being contended with today at Shimadzu that represent stepping stones to achieving Shimadzuʼs vision for the future.
