Synthetic Antimicrobials in Meat (LC/MS)
Synthetic antimicrobials are widely used as feed additives and veterinary drugs to enhance livestock and aquacultural production. Concerns have been raised in recent years over the transfer of synthetic antimicrobials into meat and seafood and about the influence of residues in the human body. Liquid chromatography is used to analyze synthetic antimicrobials. For analysis with many target compounds, such as synthetic antimicrobials, it can be difficult to separate target compounds from each other or from the sample matrix, and identification of the target compounds is difficult. Such analysis requires a high-sensitivity analysis method, such as LC/MS, that offers high selectivity and comprehensive qualification information.
Synthetic antimicrobials in meat were analyzed by a liquid chromatograph mass spectrometer (LC/MS).
Liquid Chromatograph Mass Spectrometer
The newly designed interface and ion optical system achieve high sensitivity and high stability. This best-in-class liquid chromatograph mass spectrometer provides full support functions for photodiode array detectors and offers a multi-sequence mode that analyzes the sample under different conditions with a single sample injection.
