Simultaneous Analysis of Remdesivir and Metabolites in Human plasma Using Fully Automated Sample Preparation LC/MS/MS System

Remdesivir (Brand Name: Veklury) is a prodrug developed by Gilead Science Inc. (The U.S.) for the treatment of Ebola hemorrhagic fever. It shows antiviral activity against single-stranded RNA virus and is known to be metabolized in vivo to activated GS -441524. In this paper, we introduced a robust, high-sensitivity simultaneous measurement by LC/MS/MS using the pre-processing method. On the other hand, pretreatment of plasma samples by the preparative method involves a certain workload.
In this report, we introduce an LC/MS/MS system with a fully automatic pretreatment device that can reduce the risk of variation due to manipulation, specimen misidentification, and virus infection.
