Shimadzu Corporation has launched an environment-friendly high-pressure gear pump, the MLP2 Series (hereinafter referred to as "new pump"), a next generation of the SGP2 Series.
This new pump has succeeded in increasing the rated pressure from 24.5 MPa to 25 MPa and the maximum surge pressure from 29.4 MPa to 30 MPa, while eliminating the plating process of the cast iron body used in the SGP2 series to improve durability. The current series, SGP2 series, is widely used tough condition such as in construction machinery and this new pump is designed to be better meet the needs of users. Even Lead used in the side plates was eliminated, it is successful to have tough friction-ness as conventional pump.
By developing products based on such user-friendliness and eco-friendliness, this gear pump presents our corporate philosophy, "Contributing to Society through Science and Technology" and our management philosophy, "Realizing our Wishes for the Well-being of Mankind and the Earth."
Production of SGP2 series will be discontinued at the end of December 2025. We would like to ask customers to consider switching to new pump during the term of over-rapped.
