Shimadzu Mobile X-Ray Systems at the Newly Opened Başakşehir Çam & Sakura City Hospital

Başakşehir Çam & Sakura City Hospital was fully opened on May 21st 2020 in Istanbul with 2,682 beds, which is one of the largest class in the Republic of Turkey, and a number of Shimadzu medical imaging systems has been adopted to provide advanced healthcare services to the people in the region.

Before the official opening, the hospital was opened partially on April 20 to support COVID-19 patients, and started operating Shimadzu mobile Digital Radiography(DR) systems. The mobile DR systems can be moved to the bedside of patients, and the process from radiography to checking images can be performed immediately on-the-spot. Therefore, the systems are very effective especially to the infectious disease patient cases performing radiography in the isolated patient bed room or the ICU, and Shimadzu’s MobileDaRt series have been the pioneer in that product category since 2005 with about 5,000 units sales throughout the world for its excellent usability and reliability.

Including above mobile systems, total of 55 X-ray imaging systems such as Angiography, Mobile C-arm, Fluoroscopy and Radiography systems were selected to provide premium medical imaging and advanced healthcare services in the region.

With extensive technology and support capabilities cultivated through Shimadzu’s long history, the Shimadzu Group remains committed to continue providing the advanced and high-quality solutions for healthcare providers throughout the world.
