Shimadzu (Hong Kong) Ltd., a Shimadzu Group company, is collaborating with Foxconn Technology Group, which is affiliated with Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., Ltd., a Taiwanese company, to deploy contract analysis services for the automotive industry. Ur Hongxin Testing Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Foxconn, and Shimadzu (Guangzhou) Analysis & Technology Services Co., Ltd., a Shimadzu Group company, are cooperating to provide service at “Ur Hongxin - Shimadzu Allied Laboratories,” collaborative testing facilities established at 22 bases of Ur Hongxin Testing Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. including Shenzhen, Wuhan, and Chengdu.
To date, Ur Hongxin Testing Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., which specializes in physical tests and reliability tests, has deployed contract analysis services at various locations in China. Shimadzu (Guangzhou) Analysis & Technology Services Co., Ltd. was established in 2006 by Shimadzu (Hong Kong) Ltd. and Shimadzu Techno-Research, Inc. This company has provided contract analysis services both within the Shimadzu Group and externally using Shimadzu gas chromatograph mass spectrometers, X-ray fluorescence spectrometers, and X-ray CT systems. They have a wealth of experience in the automotive industry, including compatibility analysis with regard to RoHS/ELV European environmental regulations as well as in-vehicle volatile organic compounds (VOC) analysis, composition analysis for paints and materials, and strength tests. This establishment of collaborative laboratories will be taken as an opportunity to provide one-stop comprehensive analysis services for the automotive industry in China.
