May 14, 2026 | News & Notices Recognized as a 2026 Outstanding Corporate Entity for Shokuiku (Food and Nutrition Education) by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries
Shimadzu Corporation has been selected as a 2026 Outstanding Corporate Entity for Shokuiku (Food and Nutrition Education) under the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries’ Recognition Program for Outstanding Corporate Entities for Shokuiku, with the certification period beginning in fiscal 2026. This program certifies and recognizes companies that conduct continuous, systematic food education initiatives to help employees develop healthy eating habits. The goal is to promote Shokuiku for adults, focusing on the working-age population, with the aim of improving employee health and enhancing corporate activities.

As one of our health management initiatives, Shimadzu is supporting employee health and well-being through food. We implement initiatives that encourage changes in daily behavior, such as disseminating information and holding seminars on diet and sleep, offering health-conscious menus in employee cafeterias with clear nutritional information, and continuously sharing food and health information through health support apps. These efforts were recognized, resulting in this certification.
Going forward, Shimadzu Corporation will continue to develop and expand initiatives to promote health through food. By doing so, we will support employee health and job satisfaction while achieving growth in sustainable corporate value.
