Comments by the Recipients
Let’s hear from the athletes selected as three of the Best Nine!
Daiki Yasui (Catcher)
Shimadzu Corporation, Manufacturing Center
I am very pleased to be named as one of the Best Nine. I will do my very best next season to motivate the team and contribute to victory. I will also do my best to win this award again next year.
Yuya Makino (Second Baseman)
Shimadzu Precision Technology
It makes me happy that last time, I won the Special Prize, and this time, I was named as one of the Best Nine, which was my goal. However, it’s regrettable that in the city championships, the team failed to qualify for the main tournament to decide the national champion. This year, I will train even harder, aiming to advance to the main tournament and to be selected as one of the Best Nine two years in a row.
Takuro Zaiki (Outfielder)
Shimadzu Precision Technology
I am very pleased to be named as one of the Best Nine. Everyone’s encouragement has had a big impact. This year again I’ll be enjoying the game as I put my full effort into it.
