Shimadzu Booth at JASIS 2025, Asia’s Largest Analytical Instrument Exhibition
Event to Express Gratitude for 150 Years to be Held Concurrently

Shimadzu Corporation exhibited at JASIS 2025 held on September 3 to 5 at the Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall (Chiba Prefecture). Actual examples of Shimadzu’s main product lines, such as liquid chromatographs (LC) and gas chromatographs (GC), were displayed with 170 engineers per day available to explain the latest solutions to customers.

During the exhibition, an “Excellence in Science —150 Years of Innovation—” event was held on September 4 to commemorate the 150th anniversary since Shimadzu was founded and to convey its appreciation to customers and joint research partners.

JASIS

JASIS is Asia’s largest exhibition of cutting-edge scientific/analytical systems and solutions. It is organized by the Japan Analytical Instruments Manufacturers’ Association and the Japan Scientific Instruments Association.

The organizations participating in the exhibition come from a variety of fields including analytical instruments, bio-related instruments, testing machines, and digital transformation (DX). Participants also come from a wide range of industries, such as electronic, electrical, and precision equipment; analytical, testing, and inspection services; pharmaceutical, reagents, cosmetics, and food products.

According to a report from the hosts, 444 groups exhibited at JASIS 2025. The number of participants over three days reached nearly 20,000.

The Booth Concept is “AX (Analytical Transformation)”

Shimadzu’s booth was based on the concept of AX (Analytical Transformation) again this year. AX enables researchers to engage in more sophisticated work by utilizing cutting-edge analytical and measuring instruments, robotics, AI, IoT, and other technologies, thereby reducing reliance on individual personnel in laboratories. At the booth, Shimadzu offered end-to-end solutions for assisting processes throughout all laboratory operations, ranging from sample pretreatment to data acquisition and analysis.

In addition to exhibition booths, JASIS also conducts exhibitor seminars, where exhibiting organizations can give presentations on new products, new technologies, analytical expertise, and other topics to JASIS visitors. Shimadzu offered seminars on 36 topics.

The JASIS 2025 virtual booth included a Shimadzu 150th anniversary area set up at the entrance, where information about Shimadzu’s 150-year history and an animated commemorative video were shown.

Expressing our Appreciation at the 150th Anniversary Commemorative Event

On September 4, an “Excellence in Science —150 Years of Innovation—” event was held in a facility adjacent to the JASIS exhibition hall to express Shimadzu’s gratitude to all its customers and joint research partners.

At the party, a drone show generated a rousing reaction from attendees.

In his greeting speech, Shimadzu President and CEO Yasunori Yamamoto expressed his gratitude to customers and introduced a phrase printed at the end of Shimadzu’s early product catalogs: “We will gladly undertake the manufacture of whatever you may request of us.” He emphasized Shimadzu’s ongoing commitment to listening to customer feedback with its founding spirit and addressing societal challenges in partnership with all customers.

Comment from the Person in Charge of the "Excellence in Science —150 Years of Innovation—" Event

This year, Shimadzu Corporation celebrates its 150th anniversary. I am deeply grateful to everyone who joined us for this commemorative event, held to express our heartfelt appreciation to our customers.

I believe Shimadzu’s 150-year history was built on the time we have spent walking alongside our customers. The fact that so many customers and employees were overflowing with smiles on that day was especially memorable. Those smiles and words of encouragement have invigorated us more than anything. It would be our greatest pleasure if this event helped deepen our connection with all of you. I hope Shimadzu can continue to be a company that dreams together with our customers and takes on challenges together.
