Searching for the Best Separation Mode
In reversed phase chromatography, ODS (which stands for Octa Decyl Silica), is generally the column of first choice. However, with ODS columns, isomer separation may not be fully achieved, so a different type of column such as a Phenyl column may be required.
Size exclusion chromatography is applied to the measurement of polymers. However, it is not believed to be suitable for separating low molecular weight compounds. In these articles, we introduce applications of separation of positional isomers and the simultaneous analysis of synthetic polymers and polymer additives.
