SC15 and OPESCOPE ACTENO FD15 Mobile C-Arm Systems
The SC15 and OPESCOPE ACTENO FD15, new mobile C-arm systems, are added to the Shimadzu Group’s product lineup ※in April 2026. The mobile C-arm system will be marketed under the name “SC15” in the United States and “OPESCOPE ACTENO FD15” in all other markets. Mobile C-arm systems are X-ray fluoroscopy systems mainly used for orthopedic surgery. The C-arm can be freely positioned as it rotates around the patient. The design to deliver stable imaging performance supports the physician to determine the patient status during surgical procedures. Due to the broad applicability of mobile C-arm systems, the market is expected to grow year after year, increasing demand for applications such as orthopedic surgery, pain management, and dialysis access angioplasty.
The SC15 features high-resolution flat panel detector that provides high-quality fluoroscopic images to support physicians in making accurate decisions about the status of the region of interest during surgery. The large 43-inch monitor helps improve communication among medical staff and the touch panel console mounted on the C-arm cart offers stress-free operating experience. It helps to provide comfortable and convenient operating environments and can be expected to offer utility for a wide range of applications in the expanding C-arm market. Therefore, Shimadzu will continue to offer a wide variety of products that support medical staff contributing to “Human Life and Well-Being.”
