In addition to analytical and measuring instruments for measuring environmental water, air, or soil samples, Shimadzu offers other products and services for supporting renewable energy development.
Shimadzu is reducing the environmental impact of business activities not only by setting medium and long-term carbon dioxide reduction targets and addressing climate change, but also by reducing the use of hazardous chemical substances, ensuring strict wastewater management, and taking other measures.

Results through FY 2020
The Japan Habitat Evaluation and Certification Program was established by the Ecosystem Conservation Society-Japan in December 2008 to assess and certify measures aimed at conserving or restoring biodiversity.
CASBEE Kyoto was established independently by Kyoto City and is based on other Comprehensive Assessment System for Built Environment Efficiency (CASBEE) programs that have been widely established throughout Japan.Back to top
