High diffraction efficiency
across a broad wavelength range
in VUV and soft X-ray applications
VGDG enables diffraction efficiency optimization through beam position adjustment while maintaining the low stray light characteristics of holographic gratings.
It is also known as Variable Groove Depth Grating.
Features
- High Diffraction Efficiency Across a Broad Wavelength Range
- Suppressed Unwanted Higher-Order Diffraction
- One Grating for a Wide Range of Operating Conditions
The groove depth of VGDG is continuously varied along the groove direction.
By adjusting the beam position on the grating, optimum diffraction efficiency can be achieved for the desired operating condition.
