Shimadzu has positioned countermeasures against infectious diseases as a major social issue. In addition to the existing lineup of instruments and reagents, we make an effort further to develop new products. We are also actively cooperating with universities, hospitals, and medical institutions, to create new approaches to infectious disease countermeasures. Our efforts are based on two perspectives: prevention of the further spread of COVID-19, and countermeasures for infectious diseases as a whole, with an eye to subsequent new risks.
