Shimadzu Exhibits at JASIS 2026, One of Asia’s Largest Analytical Instrument Exhibitions
Shimadzu Corporation exhibited at JASIS 2026, held from September 2 to 4 at the Makuhari Messe International Exhibition Hall (Chiba Prefecture).

JASIS
JASIS*1 is one of Asia’s largest exhibitions of cutting-edge scientific/analytical systems and solutions. It is organized by the Japan Analytical Instruments Manufacturers’ Association and the Japan Scientific Instruments Association.
*1 JASIS is an acronym for Japan Analytical & Scientific Instruments Show.

The organizations participating in the exhibition come from a variety of fields including analytical instruments, bio-related instruments, testing machines, and digital transformation (DX). Participants also come from a wide range of industries, such as electronic, electrical, and precision equipment; analytical, testing, and inspection services; pharmaceutical, reagents, cosmetics, and food products.
According to a report from the hosts, 446 groups exhibited at JASIS 2026. The number of participants over three days reached 21,699.
The Booth Concept is “AX (Analytical Transformation)”
Shimadzu’s booth was based on the concept of AX (Analytical Transformation) again this year. It introduced visitors to products and solutions fusing analytical and measuring technology with AI, robotics, and IoT. In addition to automating and improving the efficiency of analytical work, it proposed a vision of the laboratory of the future, leveraging data and insights generated in the lab to support customers’ research and development and manufacturing activities.

Solutions for supporting information management within laboratories, abnormality detection in analytical data, and development of analytical methods were exhibited
The booth also introduced the collaboration with TESCAN GROUP, a.s. (TESCAN), a Czech Republic-based pioneer in electron microscopy that joined the Shimadzu Group in July 2026. Under the theme “Two histories meet; a new future opens up,” TESCAN and Shimadzu presented the potential for creating new value by combining TESCAN’s observation technologies, including scanning electron microscopes (SEM), with Shimadzu’s analytical technologies, including electron probe microanalyzers (EPMA).

Main Products Exhibited
The latest analytical instruments and solutions supporting the advancement and automation of analysis work were exhibited at the Shimadzu booth. New products in the chromatography field were of great interest, particularly liquid chromatographs (LC), ion chromatographs (IC), and gas chromatographs (GC).

Exhibition area for the latest GC and GC-MS systems

Nexera X4 ultra high-performance liquid chromatograph
The Nexera X4 is a next-generation ultra high-performance liquid chromatograph (UHPLC) that inherits the technologies of Shimadzu’s Nexera series of liquid chromatographs. With an industry-leading low dispersion design, it delivers high separation performance and analytical stability, thereby supporting high-level analysis needs.

Nexis GC-2060 gas chromatograph
The Nexis GC-2060, Shimadzu’s flagship model, brings together gas chromatography technology cultivated over many years at Shimadzu. It combines high reliability with analytical performance, helping users address increasingly diverse analytical needs.

Nexera IC ion chromatograph
The Nexera IC is an ion chromatograph used for applications such as water quality analysis. Though compact, it is equipped with high analytical performance and was developed as a system that can be used seamlessly by anyone. It is expected to provide analytical solutions that support environmental protection and human health.

GCMS-TQ8050 RX triple quadrupole gas chromatograph mass spectrometer
In addition to high reliability and stability, the GCMS-TQ8050 RX mass spectrometer is equipped with automation technology and provides excellent operability. It flexibly accommodates a wide range of analysis needs and variations in operational style, providing new value for analysis work.
Comment from the Person in Charge of Shimadzu Booth
