Recovery Test of Sodium Dodecylbenzenesulfonate using TOC-VCPH
Introduction
In the Japanese Pharmacopeia (JP), the Test for Total Organic Carbon is described in the General Tests, Processes and Apparatus. That Test for Total Organic Carbon specifies that the TOC analyzer test instrument must have a limit of detection of 0.050 mg/L or less, and be able to measure the carbon content in a sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate solution (0.806 mg/L) as 0.450 mg/L of carbon. Here we present an example of measurement of a sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate solution, in addition to measurement of a sample containing less than 0.050 mg/L TOC using the Shimadzu combustion catalytic oxidation type TOC-VCPH total organic carbon analyzer.
