Evaluation of Compression Strength of Micro Particles Contained in Scrubs Using the MCT-W500 Micro Compression Testing Machine
Introduction
Scrubs, a type of facial cleanser, refer to a cream containing a large number of micro particles for polishing. There are many types of ingredients used for the micro particles such as natural materials like plant seeds or synthetic polymers. It is said that they can be effective in removing old skin layers, and are used for removing dirt from deep inside the pores. However, depending on the micro particles used, the stimulation may be too strong, and in people with sensitive or broken skin, the skin may be damaged and it is said that care should be taken before use. So, the compression strengths and fracture pattern differences of micro particles used in scrubs were measured using the Shimadzu MCT-W500 Micro Compression Testing Machine.
